It can take a lot of knowledge of whats going on behind the scenes to fully understand or appreciate the pipeline behind a finished piece of work, especially when its a project that demands a group.
This post shows my understanding of the game pipeline.
For any project, several steps might be skipped within the development pipeline. It might even have a different elements or a different order depending on the studio. It also depends on what the task involved is. Is it encompassing the entire game, or is it just a particular new asset? When its just an asset, it will of course undergo a lot less, but has to fit the game.
Everything has a beginning.
